Yard of the Month

April 2021 Yard of the Month

Spring is showing off her glorious colors at 7864 Walnut Ridge Ct, the home of Ann and Jim Williams. Keep Saraland Beautiful congratulates the Williams for winning the “Yard of the Month” for April. The roses, geraniums, azaleas, black cauldron pots of petunias, Japanese red maple trees and pink cherry blossom tree are just a few of the plants that capture the beauty of this lovely yard.

March 2021 Yard of the Month

Keep Saraland Beautiful congratulates Suzanne Stewart and her son Felix Stewart III, for winning the Yard of the Month for March. The statuesque Century plants, the lush ferns that adorn the porch, and the majestic tulip-shaped deep pink Japanese maple make their yard at 15 West Everette Avenue a definite winner for this month’s award.

February 2021 Yard of the Month

Congratulations from Keep Saraland Beautiful to Glenn and Geraldine Givens of 1622 Silver

Creek Drive for winning “Yard of the Month” for February. The timeless simplicity of rows of

neatly trimmed evergreens, beds mulched and lawn prepared for our gentle winter make their

home and yard very appealing.

January 2021 Yard of the Month

The timeless appeal of a well groomed yard is visible in January’s “Yard of the Month”. Congratulations to Joseph and Tambra Bryant of 7155 Cedar Drive for winning this award. As Mother Nature takes a short rest from our growing season, the Bryants continue to take pride in their beautifully manicured lawn.

December 2020 Yard of the Month

Keep Saraland Beautiful is happy to award the “Yard of the Month” for December to Jeff and Paula Schmitz of 3433 Forest Ridge Ct. The splendor of the Christmas season is on display from the festive Christmas wreaths that adorn the windows, the colorful garland that graces the front door, and the white lights that accentuate this beautiful holiday presentation. The shrubs and yard are pristine. Congratulations!

November 2020 Yard of the Month

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Robinson of 707 Burke Street are the proud winners of the “Yard of the Month” for November. The deep crimson profusion of flowers from the Encore azaleas provide a lovely border for the perfectly manicured Sunshine ligustrums. The lush golden crotons that frame the entrance, along with the fullness of the hanging Boston ferns beckon you to pause and enjoy this lovely yard. Congratulations from Keep Saraland Beautiful.

October 2020 Yard of the Month

A warm welcome to autumn from this month’s winner of the “Yard of the Month” — Judy Davis of 1218 Martha Allyn Drive. A jack-o’-lantern, pumpkins, scarecrows and a floral fall door wreath are displayed on her inviting front porch. A hanging Boston fern, fuchsia sunpatiens, boxwoods and nandinas all frame this beautiful carpet of St Augustine grass. Congratulations from Keep Saraland Beautiful.

September 2020 Yard of the Month

Nestled in the back of Willow Walk subdivision at 3634 Willow Walk is a botanical delight. Keep Saraland Beautiful congratulates Norma and Corky Thomas for winning the “Yard of the Month” for September. Summer’s lingering vibrancy can be seen in the abundant blossoms of SunPatiens, Gerber Daisies, Butterfly Bushes and Day Lilies that gracefully line their beautiful centipede lawn.

August 2020 Yard of the Month

Our sweltering heat and rainy days have certainly provided many amazing colorful yards this summer. David and Lisa Summers of 3304 Scenic Circle, Twin Lakes are the recipients of “Yard of the Month” for August from Keep Saraland Beautiful. Their beautiful landscaped yard is bursting with rich color from the black diamond crepe myrtles, impatiens and variations of green shrubs that make this yard worthy of this award. Congratulations!

July 2020 Yard of the Month

Faye Sullivan of 1566 Celeste Road is the proud winner of the “Yard of the Month” for July. Her labor of love for gardening, and an abundance of summer showers and sunshine provide a picturesque environment for all to enjoy. Colorful caladiums, oak leaf hydrangeas, kimberly ferns and crepe myrtles are just a few of the many plants that make this yard worthy of this month’s award. Congratulations and thanks to Faye Sullivan from “Keep Saraland Beautiful”.

June 2020 Yard of the Month

Keep Saraland Beautiful is proud to award the “Yard of the Month” for June to Harold and Leah Lambert of 24 Saraland Ave. Their lovely cottage is landscaped with beautiful St Augustine grass. The assortment of gorgeous blooming flowers, colorful shrubs and huge pots of white vincas encase a very southern and inviting front porch. Congratulations to the Lambert’s for providing Saraland with a vision of summer beauty.
